Expertise, Role and Activity

ULUND has a critical role in B-specific, primarily in providing the unique FIMCOD study offering extensive immunological and cardiovascular readouts and have been in consortium and published with ULEI researchers in several research projects and collaborated on several EU grant applications.

Harry Björkbacka

At the Cardiovascular Research Unit at the Department of Clinical Sciences, Malmö, Lund University, Senior lecturer Harry Björkbacka is an expert in cardiometabolic disease with experience of several multi-omics datasets, crucial for carrying out the tasks of WP3.

Daniel Engelbertsen

Assoc. Prof. Daniel Engelbertsen (Cardiovascular Research Unit) has expertise in cardiovascular immunology and immunological aging. He will lead the collaboration with Profs. Amanda Foks and Ilze Bot at ULEI for studies related to WP3.

Three PhD students, Pernilla Katra, Samuel Andersson and Anthi Chalou, will carry out tasks related to WP3 and perform immunophenotyping of B lymphocytes and study autoantibodies and biomarkers in the FIMCOD study.
