At the 2024 Dutch Atherosclerosis Society Symposium, held on May 23^rd in Zeist, Jill de Mol from the Division of BioTherapeutics received the award for best oral presentation for her work on age-associated B cells in atherosclerosis.

During this annual symposium, organized by the Dutch Atherosclerosis Society board, basic scientists and clinicians present and discuss their recent developments in the field of atherosclerosis research. Almost the entire cardiovascular ULEI lab attended this meeting and contributed to the program. B-specific member Ilze Bot provided the keynote lecture entitled ‘Mast cells as effectors in advanced atherosclerosis’. Amanda Foks presented her research on ‘Sexual dimorphism in atherosclerotic plaques of aged Ldlr deficient mice’ and Jill de Mol presented our progress on age-associated B cells in atherosclerosis in the session of selected abstracts.
